Undergound is an historical drama set in the years leading up to the American Civil War, and following a group of slaves in Georgia who plot to escape and travel north. The owner of the plantation they work on harbours political ambitions, and recruits his brother, an abolitionist lawyer, to help him become the state's next senator.
