The bickering landlords from Man About The House, George & Mildred Roper, are on the move, allowing Mildred a chance to climb the social ladder & purchase a house in middle suburbia. Forever striving to rise to their new surroundings, Mildred is constantly betrayed by George and his working class roots. Equally dismayed are their new neighbours, headed by the snooty Jeffrey Fourmile, who fears he'll be forever "knee deep in ferrets & pigeon droppings!"
